To Condeanta, with Love

He kissed the coin

“Come back to me”

and tossed

Inspired by Sammi Cox’s Month of Mini Writing Challenges.  Out of order, again, this one is for Day 14 – Write a story in 10 words inspired by good or bad luck.

In Layor and Shadowbosk, Condeanta is a goddess of luck, song, wine, fate, and shiny objects.  In one of my longest-running DnD campaigns, a rogue who worshiped Condeanta had the habit of kissing every coin he let go of, and whispering for it to return and bring its friends.  This is for him.
